Quick answer: SurveyBods is a UK and Republic of Ireland research panel operated by STRAT7 Limited. Membership is free and for people aged 18+ who meet the current residence rules. For UK members, the current Terms say 1,500 points represent £15 and can normally be redeemed only in 1,500-point steps. Available rewards can include electronic vouchers and, where supported for the country and account, bank transfer. STRAT7 aims to issue or process a valid redemption within 28 days; its FAQ says vouchers usually take around 5 days and bank transfers around 3 weeks, with possible extra banking days. We did not open an account or test a payout.

Key facts

  • Operator: STRAT7 Limited — named in the published terms (company no. 07642707).
  • Eligibility: 18+, resident in the UK or the Republic of Ireland; one account per person (official terms).
  • Rewards: points; electronic vouchers and bank transfer where supported for the country and account (official Terms).
  • UK cash-out: at least 1,500 points, normally redeemed in 1,500-point increments; the current UK value is £15 per increment.
  • Processing: Terms aim for a valid redemption to be issued or processed within 28 days. The FAQ says vouchers usually take about 5 days and bank transfer about 3 weeks; bank arrival may take additional days.
  • Points expiry: inactivity, voluntary account closure and operator-initiated termination are governed by different clauses; see the distinctions below.
  • Invitation volume: not guaranteed; the operator does not promise a minimum number of research invitations or rewards.

How this guide was built: We read SurveyBods' published terms (operator, eligibility, points rules, inactivity and closure) and its rewards FAQ (threshold and processing) at the check date, and compared it with larger UK panels. No personal account was opened; nothing here is from a hands-on test.

Who Can Join (Eligibility)

SurveyBods' membership is free and, per its published terms, open to individuals aged 18 or over who are resident in the United Kingdom or the Republic of Ireland. You must remain resident in one of those countries to stay a member, and — unless the operator says otherwise — you may hold only one account. Profile details (name, email, date of birth, country of residence) are collected at registration. Confirm the current wording in the official terms before joining.

Earning and the Points Lifecycle

You earn points for eligible Research Activities — surveys, questionnaires and other listed methods — and for some profile questions. Points are account credits, not cash: the terms state they earn no interest and have no value until redeemed. Quality checks apply, so you may not receive points if you screen out, fail attention/quality checks or do not complete an activity. Points are personal and cannot be transferred or sold.

Reaching the Threshold

For UK members, the current Terms say that you can normally redeem once you have at least 1,500 points, and then in increments of 1,500 points. They state that 1,500 points currently represents £15 for UK members. So 1,500 points is the minimum step; if your balance reaches 3,000, for example, the rules describe redemption in two 1,500-point units. The reward types and redemption methods that apply to your country and account are displayed in the member account. The Republic of Ireland may have different local reward arrangements, so the UK £15 conversion should not be applied to Irish members.

Reward Processing (and Why a Threshold Is Not Instant Cash)

Reaching the threshold makes a request possible; it does not mean the reward arrives immediately. The Terms say STRAT7 aims to issue or process a valid redemption within 28 days. The rewards FAQ gives typical estimates of about 5 days to process Amazon vouchers (sent by email) and 3 weeks to transfer money to a bank account. The Terms add that a successful bank transfer may take additional banking days to reach you. These are provider-stated processing estimates, not a guaranteed arrival date. Keep your account email and bank details accurate; a successfully processed redemption is normally final.

Inactivity and Points Expiry

The current Terms separate three situations that should not be collapsed into one blanket expiry rule:

SituationWhat the Terms sayPractical reading
InactivityAn account may be treated as inactive after six months without a Research Activity or other qualifying Site activity. The operator normally sends up to three notices; if you do not respond to the final notice within 14 days, it may close the account.Keep an eye on member messages; do not assume that logging in alone counts unless the operator says it is qualifying activity.
You close your own accountUnredeemed points remaining when you voluntarily close the account are normally forfeited, unless the operator has notified you of a different arrangement.Redeem eligible points before choosing account closure.
Operator ends membership or the points programmeIf the programme is discontinued, or the operator terminates membership for a reason other than your breach, fraud or misconduct, the Terms promise a reasonable opportunity — normally at least 30 days — to redeem eligible points, subject to the minimum threshold or another notified arrangement. This is a separate exception; do not say every account closure automatically forfeits points.

The Terms also allow points or rewards to be withheld, cancelled or reversed where the operator reasonably believes there has been fraud, multiple-account abuse, manipulation or another breach. Read the applicable clause and contact support if an account-specific decision affects a balance.

Additional Research Activities

Beyond standard surveys, SurveyBods' terms list Research Activities such as interviews, in-depth interviews (IDIs), focus groups, online communities, diaries and product/concept testing. These are officially part of the programme, but the incentive for each activity is stated in that invitation, and its value varies. We therefore do not claim focus groups "pay more" — treat any specific reward as unconfirmed until you see it in the invite.

Who It May Suit — and What to Check First

Good fit if

  • You are a UK or Ireland resident aged 18+ and are comfortable with a 1,500-point first redemption step.
  • You value occasional qualitative research (interviews, focus groups) alongside surveys.
  • You are comfortable with invitation volume varying and do not need a guaranteed number of paid activities.

Check before joining

  • Whether you can accept forfeiture of unredeemed points on inactivity/closure.
  • Which redemption types your account can access; bank transfer is offered where supported for your country and account.
  • The distinction between inactivity closure, your own closure, and a termination unrelated to your breach.
  • That invite volume suits you — membership does not guarantee a minimum number of invitations.

Is SurveyBods Legit?

SurveyBods names STRAT7 Limited as operator and publishes terms for eligibility, rewards, processing and account status. Those facts identify the operator and its stated rules; they are not a guarantee of invitations, successful qualification or payment in every case. Membership does not promise a minimum number of activities. As always, never pay a fee to join. For a wider checklist, see whether paid surveys are legit.

SurveyBods vs Bigger UK Panels

The specific points-to-pound conversion and 1,500-point steps make the UK redemption threshold easier to interpret than a points system without a published conversion. But a clear threshold does not show how quickly an individual will reach it: the operator promises no minimum invite volume, and rewards may vary by account. Compare current published thresholds in the cash-out guide.

FAQ

Is SurveyBods legit? It is a UK/Ireland panel operated by STRAT7 Limited, which names itself in the published terms and documents eligibility, rewards and closure rules. Confirm the operator and current terms on the live site.

What is the SurveyBods payout threshold? The current Terms say UK members can normally redeem from 1,500 points, in 1,500-point increments; 1,500 points currently represents £15. Your available reward types and account-specific redemption methods are shown in your account.

Who can join SurveyBods? Adults aged 18+ resident in the UK or the Republic of Ireland, with one account per person, per the official terms.

Does SurveyBods offer focus groups? Yes — its terms list focus groups and interviews among the Research Activities; the reward for each is stated per invitation and is not published in advance.

Do SurveyBods points expire? The rules differ by reason. After six months of inactivity, the operator may send up to three notices and may close an account if there is no response within 14 days of the final notice; points are normally forfeited on inactivity closure. Voluntary closure also normally forfeits points. If the operator ends membership for a reason other than your breach, fraud or misconduct, or discontinues the programme, it normally gives at least 30 days to redeem eligible points, subject to the minimum threshold or another notified arrangement.

How long does SurveyBods take to pay? The Terms say a valid redemption will be issued or processed within 28 days where possible. The FAQ says Amazon vouchers usually take about 5 days and bank transfers about 3 weeks; actual bank arrival may take additional banking days. These are stated processing estimates, not a guaranteed delivery date.

Verdict

SurveyBods may suit a UK adult who values a published £15 first redemption step, occasional qualitative invitations and a free panel, provided they accept variable invite volume and non-instant processing. Before building a balance, note which reward methods your account supports and how points are treated under inactivity, voluntary closure or operator-initiated termination.
