Is LifePoints Legit in the UK? Operator, Rewards and Account Rules
Is LifePoints legit in the UK? Verify its Lightspeed/Kantar operator, current 10-LP welcome message, UK reward rules, inactivity policy and privacy terms.
Survey Reviews UK Editorial Team · Published · Updated · 8 min read

Short answer: LifePoints is a real survey panel with a UK site. Its UK membership terms identify Lightspeed LLC as the panel operator and describe it as a Kantar Group company; Kantar also lists LifePoints among its proprietary panels. Those are checkable operator facts, not a guarantee that you will qualify for surveys or receive a particular reward. We did not open an account or test a redemption.
First, verify who runs it
The LifePoints UK site says that LifePoints is run by Lightspeed, a Kantar Group company. Its UK-path membership terms identify Lightspeed LLC as the entity that owns and operates the panel, while Kantar's own Profiles page describes LifePoints as one of its panels. Taken together, these direct sources establish a traceable corporate relationship rather than relying on a third-party blog's description.
That relationship answers only the operator question. It does not guarantee survey availability, a certain hourly return, or the outcome of an individual account review. “A company and panel exist” and “this member had a good experience” are separate claims; this guide keeps them separate.

Follow the reward route, not a headline rate
The UK sign-up page currently advertises free registration and 10 LifePoints (LPs) to start. The same official page is the offer reference used in our UK survey sign-up bonus tracker, checked on 13 October 2026. It does not state an expiry date or a cash value for those 10 LPs. Treat it as a small welcome credit advertised at the time checked, not as £10 or as a promised cash payout; re-check the page before registering because offers can change.
LifePoints' UK “How it Works” page describes a provider-stated average survey duration of 10–20 minutes. That is the provider's description, not an average measured by us, and survey length and eligibility vary by study. The page also says the amount of LPs is shown before a survey starts and depends on the survey's length or urgency. Read the displayed reward before beginning rather than assuming that every invitation has the same value.
The current UK rewards page lists options such as e-gift cards, PayPal credit and charity donations. It names examples including Amazon, Sainsbury's, Costa, Just Eat, Marks & Spencer, ASDA and other retailers. The available catalogue and the point cost for each option should be checked in the member area: the official rewards terms say the value of one LP varies by the reward selected and that offers may change. We could not establish a universal LP-to-pound conversion or a single minimum threshold from the public page, so this article does not repeat a third-party conversion figure as fact.
Older official UK guidance mentioned £5 for 550 LP. That is a historical official example, not a number invented by a third-party review. It does not establish a universal current threshold: the reward terms say point value depends on the selected reward and redemption depends on the catalogue. We have not checked the current member catalogue.
Delivery is also reward-specific. LifePoints' UK rewards page says that in most cases a redeemed gift card is sent as a code by email. That is the provider's own description, not a promise that every reward uses email or arrives on a fixed schedule. Check the format shown beside the reward you choose and retain the redemption confirmation.
The account rules that matter before you build a balance
The UK Rewards Programme Terms, last updated 4 July 2025 on the page checked, define an active account as one with a survey or other activity within 30 days of joining or within any 90-day period. The UK how-it-works page similarly says LPs expire if you are inactive for 30 days after joining or in any 90-day period. These are provider-published rules; read the current wording before relying on them, particularly if you expect to take a long break.
The rules distinguish inactivity from closing an account, but either can affect your balance. They say an account may be suspended for no survey participation within the initial 30 days or within a 90-day period. On suspension, cancellation or closure, the reward terms say access ends and credited points may be forfeited. The membership terms separately say that closing your account immediately forfeits the points. Do not interpret “inactive” as a grace period to preserve a balance: if you want to keep access, follow the activity requirement displayed in the current UK terms.
There is a useful record-keeping deadline too. The rewards terms say points should be posted no later than 30 days after survey completion; if a credit is missing, they ask members to notify support within two months of completing that survey. That is a point-crediting rule, not a promise that a later PayPal or voucher redemption will be delivered within 30 days.
UK eligibility and age
LifePoints' UK “Who We Are” page says members must be at least 16. The UK-path membership terms contain a general 14-year baseline but also say some countries require members to be older. For a UK reader, the site's UK-specific FAQ is the relevant published minimum; check the current registration screen and terms in case the rule changes or additional eligibility conditions apply. The terms also say you should register in the country where you live and allow only one account per individual.
Privacy: read the panel policy, not just the cookie banner
The UK-path LifePoints privacy policy says Lightspeed is responsible for panel data processing and applies to its LifePoints, Qmee and MobiWorkX panels. The policy describes collection of registration details, contact information, demographic profile data and information submitted in surveys; some surveys may ask sensitive questions. It also describes sharing information with clients for research, with service providers that support panel operations, and within the Kantar group. This is more precise than a broad claim that member data is “never shared with third parties.”
The policy says data can be processed or transferred within or outside a member's country, with safeguards where required. Optional cookie categories cover analytics, personalisation, advertising and social media; the cookie and privacy pages explain how to manage those choices. Read the notice before joining and pay attention to the separate privacy information shown at the start of an individual survey, because that study may have its own client and data-use explanation.
If points go missing or your account is suspended
Use the official LifePoints Help Center rather than relying on an old email address copied into a forum. For a missing survey credit, include the survey date, invitation or project details, and any confirmation you have; the current rewards terms set a two-month window for reporting a missing credit. Keep the message concise and avoid sending your password or full payment credentials.
If the issue is an account suspension or closure, the UK rewards terms describe a “Right of second review” through the support contact form. They say to raise the dispute within 60 days of the alleged error, explain the basis and attach relevant evidence; the provider says it will notify you of its decision within 30 days, or notify you if it needs more time. These are the provider's written process terms, not a guarantee that a review will reverse the decision.
What “legit” does—and does not—tell you
The sources support a narrow conclusion: LifePoints is an identifiable UK survey panel operated by Lightspeed, which the panel terms describe as part of Kantar. The service publishes a UK reward catalogue, membership rules, a rewards programme and a privacy policy. This is meaningful evidence about who runs the panel and what written rules it publishes.
It does not show how many surveys your profile will match, what your personal return per hour will be, or whether every redemption will be smooth. A screen-out, low invitation volume, a delayed credit and an account suspension are different events. Record which one happened, keep dates and reference numbers, and use the matching support route. FAQ
Is LifePoints legit in the UK?
LifePoints has a UK panel site and publishes UK-path terms, rewards information and a privacy policy. Its terms identify Lightspeed LLC as the operator and a Kantar Group company. This establishes an identifiable service, not a guaranteed personal payout or income level.
Who owns and operates LifePoints?
The UK membership terms say the LifePoints panel is owned and operated by Lightspeed LLC, a Kantar Group company. Kantar's Profiles page independently lists LifePoints among Kantar's panels.
How much is one LifePoint worth?
There is no single public conversion rate we could verify. The UK rewards terms say the value varies with the reward selected and may change; check the point cost and minimum shown in your member account.
What happens if I stop using LifePoints?
The provider says an account needs activity within 30 days of registration and within any 90-day period to remain active. Its pages say inactivity can lead to suspension or expiring/forfeited points. Check the current terms before taking a long break.
How do I challenge a suspended LifePoints account?
Use the “Right of second review” option in the LifePoints support form. The UK rewards terms say to provide the dispute and evidence within 60 days of the alleged error; they state that the provider will respond within 30 days or notify you if it needs more time.
